Idyllwild Arts Alumni

"The friends I made at Idyllwild continue to be my collaborators, my confidants and my support system, and they always will be." Laura Holliday Class of 2009

Become part of our talented alumni

The alums of Idyllwild Arts are some of the most talented individuals to be entering the workforce. Whether they are working in their art major, pioneering new ideas or setting new standards in industries that are far removed from their courses of study, many of our alums have become extremely successful. Collaborating with fellow graduates happens regularly, and together our alumni are making their mark on the world. We organise numerous alumni reunions and events throughout the year to ensure that friendships thrive and new collaborations are born.

Former graduates who have excelled

Idyllwild Arts Academy has produced an illustrious roster of graduates, including American Idol finalist Casey Abrams, contemporary artists Shepard Fairey and Nate Lowman, dancer Neal Beasley, actress Marin Ireland, jazz guitarist Graham Dechter, and principal oboist for the New York Philharmonic, Liang Wang. Fashion designer Elora Hardy found herself working for Donna Karan in New York, while American singer, lyricist and guitarist Trevor Hall is best known for his song “Other Ways”, which featured on the Shrek the Third soundtrack. Notable alumni from our summer program include Ansel Adams, Elizabeth Murray, Norman Corwin, Lucille Clifton, Meredith Willson and Pete Seeger.

Supporting students through our Alumni Scholarship Fund

Each year we provide $5.6 million in financial aid, which is awarded to an incredible 60% of current students. A large proportion of these funds come from the Idyllwild Arts Foundation’s (IAF’s) many donors, friends and alums. Our Alumni Scholarship Fund ensures that 100% of all donations to Idyllwild Arts go to scholarships in the donor’s own arts major.
